Our Mission

April 26, 2019, as my husband closed the eyes of our lifeless 22-year-old baby boy, purpose was awakened in me.

Vision
Communities where healing replaces harm, youth are equipped to lead with empathy, and families thrive despite adversity.

  • Accountability & Integrity
  • Community Collaboration
  • Empowerment Through Education

DreCharles KeAlex Henry

 May 4, 1996 - April 26, 2019

Dre was full of life. He shared his carefree and bubbly personality with everyone that crossed his path. His major goal in life was to live everyday joyful and happy.  His smile could charm his way out of anything. Unfortunately, he never had a chance to smile at the person that took his life. Dre was shot muliple times from behind. This ended his life and devasted our world.

Areas of Operation

Thriving Survivors Support Support Group

The Thriving Survivors Support Group was created in 2019 based upon a need for emotional support for parents who buried children. What began as a space for parents grieving the loss of children has expanded to support anyone experiencing grief, offering a compassionate, judgment-free environment for healing, connection, and growth.

The group provides:

Peer-led and professional support
Mindfulness practices and breathing exercises
Trauma awareness education
Resiliency-building tools
Guest speakers and peer-directed discussions

Meets virtually on the 4th Tuesday each month.

Crime Victim Advocacy

We support victims of crime by assisting with Victim Compensation applications and connecting individuals and families to trusted resources, information, and support services. While we work to help clients understand available options and navigate next steps, we do not provide legal advice or legal representation.

Creating a Safer Community Through Unity

We are committed to building safer, stronger communities through unity, collaboration, and proactive engagement. Through initiatives such as United Hearts in the Park, the Safe Summer Youth Summit, and Law and Order Series, we create spaces for healing, dialogue, and education while strengthening trust between residents and public institutions. By working alongside law enforcement, local government officials, community leaders, and families, we promote positive policing, shared accountability, and community-centered solutions that reduce violence, empower youth, and foster long-term safety and resilience.

Strengthening Our Youth

We strengthen youth by providing structured, trauma-informed mentorship, leadership development, and life-skills education through programs such as Mentoring For Success and Day of National Concern and the Safe Summer Youth Summit. Our approach equips young people with self-regulating & conflict-resolution skills, and positive role models, empowering them to make healthy decisions, build confidence, and become resilient leaders in their families and communities.
